For all the rescue horses that can't speak for themselves...
Please don't hurt me anymore
Take good care of me
For I don't know your language
And therefore I can't speak
I have done nothing wrong
I was just born of god's green earth
Please be good to me
And I will love you back
If you can't afford to feed me
then please don't keep me
I know it will break your heart to give me up
But please don't make me starve
Look into my soft eyes
For when they look back at you they see
Someone who is my protector and leader of the pack
As long as I can sense that
I will do of me whatever you may ask
I need fresh water every day
I need a place to sleep
I need to be fed 3 times a day at the very least
I need to be dewormed and all my vaccinations up to date
I even need you to float my teeth yearly, if you may
If you’re going to ride me on rough terrain, then please be kind and shoe me every 6 to 8 weeks
Please turn me out daily because I need sunshine and exercise to roam and run
But don't forget to bring me back to my stable when the day is done
Make sure I have shelter from the wind and rain
I’m sorry I demand so much, I don't mean to be a pain
Just to be on the safe side give me psyllium one a month
For 7 days, just so I don't colic
Have a vet once a year just to follow up
I will give all that I can
I will live a long life and be your best friend
But you must keep your end of the bargain
And take good care of me to the end
For Susan has given me a new home and taken very good care of me
She saved me from an awful fate
She was my destiny
And for that I am so very grateful
I never knew humans to be so hateful
We can't save all the horses in the world, i only wish we could
But donating to save one at a time is something that we should do
So open up your hearts and give what you can
Susan and all the horses really appreciate this
